Project<\/strong>: A collection of assignments from my Semester 2: 2D Illustration course, exploring character design and animation through my original character, Xenos. I created him back in 2021 during high school after playing Terraria with my friends and he’s been a constant source of inspiration since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Problem<\/strong>: Each piece explored a different challenge. Maintaining consistent character proportions throughout the turnaround sheet and the silhouette was difficult. It was also my first time actually tweening and animating a character, so I struggled with making it look less choppy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lessons Learned<\/strong>: I learned how to create a puppet and animate a basic walk cycle! It was a big struggle, but I had fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What I Enjoyed<\/strong>: I especially enjoyed animating the final character introduction. It was cool giving a lot of personality to him through it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skills<\/strong>: Character design, silhouette design, character turnarounds, 2D animation, and background illustration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
