What is Hollow Knight?

Hollow Knight is a souls-like Metroidvania styled video game released by Team Cherry on February 24, 2017. In this game, you play as the Knight- a nail-wielding, silent bug warrior who explores the long-forgotten lands of Hallownest. Throughout the Knight’s journey, you encounter strange monsters, and ancient treasures, and uncover the story of how Hallownest became such a forgotten, desolate land.

Why is it so good?

Through its environmental storytelling, an immersive world full of beautiful, handcrafted art, and engaging music choices- Hollow Knight creates an in-game experience like no other. Discovering the story of your world alongside the trial and error of difficult bosses brings a new level of fun and captivation to the insect-inspired lands. Alongside the fun gameplay, Hollow Knight also delivers on its lore and storytelling, constantly giving the game a sense of tragedy and mystery- yet also one of hope through your actions that leads players further into the world of Hallownest.
